PA-04 Members,

Just wanted to let everyone know that I have been appointed State Director.  As you all know, there ia a lot to do but with everyone's help, it will all work out.  Everyone has been very helpful around district 4.   I thank all you for your support.  I was very pleased last year with the awards we were able to afford.  I thank all that  participated in the fundraising as well as all the generous sponsors.

 That being said, we can't forget about this year.  We need the money to keep giving awards.  In the near future, I will be appointing a new district 4 director.  I ask each and everyone of you to help support the district as well as myself and the NBHA State.  I need sponsors for the state show.  I hope to get some sponsorship forms out soon.  Don't hesitate to start collecting them now.  We will have a good state show with everyone's help.  Any ideas or suggestions?  As always, don't hesitate to call!  Once again, in moving forward I ask for everyon'es support in helping PA NBHA grow!!

Dear Members,

I hope everyone had a great Christmas and Holiday Season!!!  Banquet forms have been mailed and I would appreciate everyone's cooperation in getting them back on time.  We are looking forward to having another real nice banquet this year.  We will be announcing a fundraiser at the banquet - YUMMIES - just in time for Easter.  If anyone has any ideas for our club in regards to fundraising or any other subjects to discuss, please feel free to contact me.  We are always looking for ways to improve.  We can also discuss ideas at the banquet.

I would also like to express my condolences  to Steve Feaser on the loss of his good mare, KC's Something Else as well to Kate and the Keeney family on the loss of their great mare Hope To Burn.  We will keep you all in our prayers.

Dear Members,

I just wanted to remind everyone that fairly soon I will have to start getting awards ready for the banquet.  We are not "rich" by any means and are asking any member that can get a sponsorship to do that as soon as possible.  The attendance at some of the shows has been disappointing, especially since we were receiving a percentage of the profits at most of the shows.

On a brighter note, I have secured a 1D sponsorhips from Terry Shetron at Shetron Trailers.  I personally thank him for his generosity and continued support.  If any of you need a fantastic trailer or repairs, don't hesitate to patronize them.  I'm sure you will find their service to be top notch!  Let's try to wrap up the year on a positive note by having a great turnout at our last few shows.

PA-04 Members,

I just wanted to take a moment to congratulate the 4 youth riders from PA-04 that recently competed at the Youth Worlds in Perry, GA.  Between the for of them, there was only 1 hit barrel!  Emily Stover collected 2 checks!  I thought they represented the district very well.  I was very impressed the the first class facility and the hospitality.  The NBHA staff went out of their way to make everyone feel very welcome! There were many fun activities for the kids almost every day that we were there.  There is not another organization that draws almost 1700 youth entries to a show!  This was a larger show than the NBHA Open World Finals.  For those of you that have never been there, do yourself a favor and make the trip.  I guarantee that you will enjoy it.  Hope to see you all at the next show!

Hello members,

Just a reminder, some of you forgot to turn in the money for the Sheetz fundraiser.  I need to mail Sheetz a check this week, so, please mail me a check if possible.  Also, for those of you who did not participate in the fundraiser, I will need you to get a sponsor or pay a $30 per member awards fee.  ($50 for a two member family, or $75 for 3 or more members in a family) 

Also, we need to get more members to volunteer at our shows.  It always seems to be the same few people helping out each week.  If we all work together, we could all enjoy a little free time at the shows.  Just remember that Dave Shockey has graciously donated the proceeds from the Diamond 7 shows to PA-04 and IBRA, so I don't think it's fair for him to have to work all day in the arena as well.  If all did a little, a few wouldn't have to do a lot!

I would like to thank those of you who have supported our shows, though in order to collect money for year-end awards, we need more members to participate in more of the shows

Also,the show scheduled for July 7th at Shartlesville HAS NOT been cancelled, but it is no longer being sanctioned by the NBHA!!

The State Show will be held at Diamond 7 Arena this year. 36 Deardorff Road, Dillsburg, PA

New for this year:

Rollovers will be allowed from open to senior and youth classes.

More sand added to the arena for quality footing.

Come on out and compete for the many saddles, buckles, and other awards that we will be giving.

Please check out our show schedule page.   The June 30th show at Henry Arena has been cancelled and we have added another show at JKNL Stables on October 6th that will definately have added $$$$........amount to be announced!

Also, we will have Sheetz coupon books to hand out at the Diamond 7 show this Saturday.  The books cost $10.00 and there are coupons inside for free and buy-one-get-one-free items valued over $25.00.  Lets see how many of these we can sell.  We have 250 to sell and if they sell good, we thought we might get another 250.  If everyone could sell some, it would be appreciated and the $$ will go toward end-of-year awards.  The $$ from the coupon books will be due at the
June 23rd Diamond 7 show.  THANK YOU!!!

PA-04 Members.  I just wanted to thank everyone for coming out to the Diamond 7 show and for helping to make it a success.  Just a reminder, we will have a dress code at our shows.  You must have a long-sleeve western shirt with a collar.  This is promoted and encouraged by the NBHA in their rulebook.  I would also like to thank those who helped out at the show.  Without your help things would have been much more difficult.   I appreciate your support and look forward to even bigger and better shows as well as having more people help out.








3/17/2012  Hi all!  Happy Saint Patty's Day.  Just wanted to let you know, we've added a show for June 30th at Henry Arena in Martinsburg West Virginia.  Please try to come out and support this show.  It's a great arena and easy to get to.  Don't let "West Virginia" scare you, it's really not that far.





A NOTE FROM YOUR DIRECTOR.........

PA -04 Members, 

         A few short weeks to the start of a new NBHA season.  As you all know I was asked to be district director.  First of all I would like to thank Garen and Chris Mcdonald for all the time and effort that they put forth.  One of the things I want to do is increase membership.  If anyone knows someone who wants to join let me know so we can sign them up.  Also we have another great opportunity to make money for the district.  Dave Shockey is putting on seven shows at Diamond 7, and he has agreed to donate profits to the PA-04 and PA East IBRA members.  The only thing that he asks is that all members participate and do their part in helping out.  Also, we have two shows at Dale Smith's arena where we will again be working for part of the proceeds.  I'm excited about these opportunities and for a great season.  I am available at all the shows as well as by phone (477-0018). 

      Let's all work together in making PA-04 one of the best districts in teh NBHA!
